The origin of the word "hydroponic" becomes clear. In Greek, "hydro," meaning water, refers to the fluid in which the plants are grown. In the DWC hydroponics system, the plants grow with their roots submerged directly in nutrient-rich water. For home growers, this can be achieved by growing in large opaque storage containers or buckets. Deep Water Culture (DWC) hydroponics system is more user-friendly, especially if you are a first-time hydroponic grower because it allows more room for error. The Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponics system is more advanced because it requires a bit closer monitoring, especially in case of a power outage.
